What is 10KTM?

10K The Movement (10KTM) is a clothing brand based on the 10,000 hour theory that states "10,000 hours of deliberate practice are needed to become world class in any field." Our goal is to develop a team that is willing to showcase and be dedicated to their 10,000 hour journey with intentions to inspire others to start their own journey. The Oberlin-based clothing brand plans to create a wave that encourages our core values: PREPARATION, DEDICATION and GROWTH.

BEGINNING OF OUR 10K JOURNEY

What started as an individual embodiment of our core values is evolving into an craft based organization that highlights the outcome of the 10,000 hour process. As we started to notice results, our peers began to notice the growth as well. In the process of mastering our individual crafts, we were able to motivate others to master their own. To showcase our experiences and growths, we created a web series named "#10KDAY".

THE 10K TEAM

The 10K team consists of individuals who display a clear representation of what we stand for. These individuals are well-rounded leaders of their communities who have been acquainted with the founders of 10K. Since the creation of 10K, the team members have been active in groundwork that has been required to keep 10K operating.

REASON FOR CREATION

Oberlin, Ohio is a small town that is built around the renowned "Oberlin College" a top ranking liberal arts college. As the college states on their website "Oberlin is a place of intense energy and creativity, built on a foundation of academic, artistic, and musical excellence." This small town is a very diverse, well resourced community that has the potential to create well rounded, open minded individuals. Many members of the 10K team are upstanding individuals that were born and raised in Oberlin. Growing up in this small town we witnessed many peers waste their talents due to lack of guidance. 10K hopes to lead by example for the youth not only in our community but communities around the globe.
